These are the videos designed to assist your education.
Some videos are designed as a quick refresher so that you can remember exact steps.
Others will include information that I can't demo in class due to time constraints.
These are not intended to be a substitute for in class questions, please ask as many as possible if you are feeling stuck.
Core Course
The first 4 blocks are intended to get you comfortable using oil paint, mixing colour and accurately seeing proportions and values.
Learn to simplify what you see.

Learn to draw and paint from life
Learn sequential painting. A different approach which conditions your brain to understand values (Our most important element in painting).
These painting will look photo real. Once you understand this approach, this knowledge translates to other approaches.
Post Realism
This is our advanced curriculum. We start to move away from realism to make things more painterly.
These techniques give new effects and can be refined into faster production methods if desired.
Use your paint and brush in a new way!
The cornerstone of layering, and a fun way to start painting in a way that isn't perfectly mirroring a photo.
A bit of a play time after doing methodical work with block 4.
Learning our first compositional technique to make our art look more like a painting.
We start to create a workflow where we make creative decisions.
Using and understanding pre-set palettes for creating mood in paintings.
These also become an easy way to simplify your process while you make more complex decisions.
